Mark Mian solves complex problems for brands, helping companies express the social potential of their innovations. His approach to digital branding is strongly human-centric, based in his background in cognitive neuropsychology. Mark began his career at the world's largest agency, Interbrand, during San Francisco's tech boom of 2000, where he developed strategy and communications for Fortune 500 companies. He subsequently became independent to focus on smaller ventures and recently founded his own agency, Automatic Future (along with a former director of customer experience at Apple and a former designer at Lucasfilm), a lean brand design agency that emphasizes brand-as-experience. Mark also serves as director of brand & communications at 10x Management, a talent agency for elite freelance tech talent (recently featured in The New Yorker Magazine); and branding mentor at Highway1, an accelerator for early hardware startups.
